| Absinthe is booked in for a service later this month at Yate and we will be travelling down from Lancashire on a Thursday lunchtime.
We're hoping to book into a site with a pub close by, stop over Thurs and then drive early morning to Danbury before driving back to the same site for Friday night.
Any ideas anyone?

| Hi. There is a caravan club site in 'Chain gate lane' Rangeworthy with good pubs in Iron Acton nearby and also the high street in Chipping Sodbury or there is also a farm camp site in Rangeworthy. Just call us for more info if required. Hope this helps | |

| Might be too close then Jason - we've got to get down on the Thursday afternoon and negotiate the M6, etc. so was hoping to find somewhere about 30-50 miles away on the north side of Bristol. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| We stay at http://www.tudorcaravanpark.com/index.php
The site is entered through the carpark of a pub with several awards for it's food. Alongside a canal with barges moored up and good for a walk with the dog. Slimbridge Wildfowl and wetlands centre is a half mile walk away. Down the A38 and across the M5 is about an half hour cross-country drive to Danbury. From Danbury we usually walk to Yate station and catch a train to either Bristol or Bath for the day.

| I see the Tudor pub and Tudor Caravan Site ( mentioned in my earlier post above)are featured in an article 'A pitch and a pint' in this month's (April) copy of Motorcaravan Motorhome Monthly. See pages 77 and 79. osg | |
