| Exactly 1 year ago today I was cruising East along the M4, in gale force winds, with a cold sweat, white knuckles and the biggest grin on my face, having collected Tallulah from Yate.
Just a few days later we spent the first of 27 nights in her starting in the Cotswolds and covering various locations and most of the counties to the West and South of Reading in the first year, not to mention several VW events where we met and spent time with some great new friends.
She also spent a total of 36 nights on hire in the first year, attending several music festivals along the way starting with Glastonbury (!), one well known celebrity driver and finishing with a honeymoon just last weekend.
We are expecting the next 12 months to be quite similar, we have 5 long weekends of our own planned between now and the start of the summer holidays as well as 3 hires totalling 11 days booked in already with at least twice as many serious enquiries yet to confirm.
So could we all now raise our glasses for a toast in honour of the newest member of our family - to Tallulah, 1 today with many great times, events and respectful and responsible hires to follow!

Just realised that when you mentioned Newton Mill campsite, thats the one (just over the hill from the Globe pub) I pass every Thursday lunchtime and Monday morning, on my way to and from Pat's in Bristol. For your info, looks beautiful at moment, daffodils all out, down both sides of road. | |
