| This is a great forum many thanks to all, not sure I will be able to add much but will no doubt be asking lots of questions.
I have been drooling over bays most of my life, so finally took the plunge!!
As it’s a very long time since I got out my whitworth spanners (guess need to buy some Metric ones now) and oily rag , we decided to go for a later model in the hope that it would be less work. Time will tell!
Our new family member is a blue and white 2006 air-cooled Bay, originally supplied by Danbury but has been converted to a camper by the previous owner. It is a pretty good job, but really excited to do a few mods and make it/her/him our own. The family are currently going through some very delicate negotiations regarding gender and name…this could take some time!
The Bus has been serviced but came with very little paperwork or service docs etc.
Just need to work out how to add pics and will put them up.
Looking forward to joining in the forum.

welcome aboard matey! Sort of dash in and out of here as we have an 11 week old who consumes all time, bless her.
Sounds like a nice bus, we also have an 06 bus called Irene. You'll need to work out the piccies thing and post some up.

| it was from vbays in collumptom..believe they've disappeared now. It's a recon westfalia. The front isn't perfect as they had to raise the rack part to fit the higher brazilian roof, but the raising part is great.. it's big enough for our 2 growing kids (mind you our lad is bigger than both of us.. and he's only 14!) |

Ok so you mean it sits higher up than the raising section when the roof is down? Looks reasonable as it is to me.
