44k miles is a lot for a bus that's only 2 1/2 years old even if she is/was a rental, probably why she's being sold.

Personally I'd rather go for KC's 2011 with the Vanworks interior. Bit more cash but so nice!

Thankyou HarryHornet- I've slight reduced the price now and have had a few viewings and someone coming over from France next week, so fingers crossed.

I've been browsing for a while looking at what is on offer. Quite seriously thinking about getting a sibling for Rudi. All I need first is to convince my other half that WE REALLY REALLY NEED ONE MORE CAMPER (he is not so sure) and a bank to cough up some money for that

I like the colour! My preferred next one would be yellow or red but I would consider others too if coming at right price and specification...Preferably with VAT included.

Yes, we are so it would be better to get something with VAT still on it - but we will not be going for a custom made from scratch this time . Either new, ready to go (but nicely reduced) or second hand one.

I have to say - I like that colour very much! I had an eye on that one ages ago when it was still part of the fleet. And it has got all we need. My only worry is the mileage - it must have been used quite intensly. For that price you can get an older Kombi with lower mileage and sometimes nicer extras, so it is age versus mileage. I think you just answered your own question. Use the fact that it has higher mileage as your bargaining point. It's a dealer, be brash, offer them £25k. They can always say no!

Danbury have ex display 2012 new limited edition ones for £29,995 including vat (which you should be able to reclaim) , approx 50 miles from new only and very special build limited edition....£1000's off new price and by the time you claim the vat back no much difference in money. I know which I would have on the fleet as newer and limited edition is a great selling point for your hire customers (and possibly the only hire company in the UK with a limited edition)

Yes, I was looking at that handsome red one also however I would have to add quite a few things so in the end of the day the price would be slightly different, I guess. Do the special editions have heated rear and front screens for example? Does that seat actually coverts into bed?

Scooby, each Kombi once converted is a "limited" and special edition, I guess! I have never seen two Kombis looking the same (I'm not talking about those coming straight from Brazil).

I do really like that yellow one, though! Husband is reluctant as it is ex-rental. On the other hand Rudi is a rental one and there is nothing wrong with him (yet!...anyway). Apart from snapped gearstick replaced with original German piece from 70'

We keep on doing calculations at the moment so we will see. Neighbours may kick us out if we bring another Kombi...
