2013 Calendar

I can see your point Tim.

It's a shame, given how many members we've got, that so few are interested. Maybe a PM to everyone as one final push?

I try to keep the global pms to a minimum Abs as too many and they start to become spam.

I guess, like me, so many people now use an electronic form of calendar. Which makes sense really, particularly when they can all sync between devices. I find that invaluable.

Important stuff on my devices and pretty pictures on my wall!

We agree

Scooby doo however like the idea of 'an old fashioned' calendar on the wall - particularly a Brazi Bay one!

So any more out there that like such an 'old fashioned idea' and would buy one?

Last year when some photos were submitted, other members were stimulated to join in. There was some generated enthusiasm as the pool of entries built up.

Could you promise a format where selected pictures will have pride of place but everyone in the first 35 would be promised inclusion if they wished to send an entry?

I can see where your coming from OSG but the idea of the calendar was more of a follow-on from last year. I don't want it to become to much of a project.
By guaranteeing an entry to people who want a copy is taking away from wanting a 'Brazzie bay calendar'. If you want a picture of your Kombi on the wall you might as well print one up yourself. Plus to include everyone in the calendar who wants a copy can become quite a task, especially to get it to look right. To choose 12 pictures is going to be hard enough.

There are lots of sites you can use to produce your own calendar, and although there may be economies of scale in larger numbers, there is nothing stopping any of us putting together 12 (or more) pics and sorting one out.

So how about, rather than a project to put together a "brazibay calendar", we simply provide all the resources so people can put a calendar together themselves?

If people have suitable photos they would like to add to the available pool of potential calendar photos, they can upload them to a "members only brazi bay photo library" for people to download and use as they wish. People should only upload what they are happy for people to use, and all photos are for personal use only unless otherwise agreed with the photo owner.

This is open to anyone whether you want a calendar or not. It still doesn't mean I'm going ahead with it, it's just to get the ball rolling so to speak.

Hi kiteman, in response to the PM, I would still like one as voted for in the poll, but as I managed to envigle myself in for last year with a photo, I'll let others submit their photos first...... if thats OK.

I wouldn't hold back on sending in photos dizzy. Despite lots of people saying they want this calendar, there is a stark void of people actually sending in material. Disappointing really.

If you want this to happen you need to make it happen people. This is exactly why we require a minimum level - it's not fair to expect the admin team to do a load of work for nothing.

Thanks to the people who have sent pictures so far but as mentioned above I've only had 5 people send me pictures. This is no where near enough. I'm going to let this run till the end of the month. If I don't have enough by then I will call it a day.

We haven't had a chance to review this years photos as a whole yet, as soon as we do (hopefully this weekend) we will send 'em over.
