| Can you imagine a Kombi made with the Airstream bare metal look. An idea for the final models to come off the production line next year. | |

Sounds a FAB idea HH - Scooby doo like it Alternatively, one of those vinyl wrap thingies - made to look like the Airstream - that can be applied to the Kombi ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run

Most of us spend our time trying to prevent corrosion not actively encouraging it!! However 5th Gear did a chrome-look wrap on a Metro recently to see if it added value to the car. It didn't! But it did look 'trick.' ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| Isn't it polished aluminium rather than chrome, in which case it won't rust?
Saying that, I'm sure keeping the shine would provide an elbow grease challenge to even the most useful of enthusiasts.... ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| We have friends who bought a new Airstream a couple of years ago and then realised that the car they had wasn't big enough to pull it. Apparently there are only about 4 or 5 cars that can pull the new big Airstreams - what chance a Kombi with a 1.4? | |

| That's why you go for the small 'Bambi' Also, if you get an old one (like the 1963 earlier in this thread) the aluminium can be mirror polished too Roo b Roo ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run | |

| OK so the Airstream T2 would have been difficult to keep prestine but how about one made out of wrought iron. Can you imagine how beautiful the last Kombi would look if it came out looking like this. | |

Yes, I've noticed that recently, given the significantly cooler temperatures I've been driving in. Think I need to get some socks or something to put around the pedals.
