Club meets in 2014

Looking ahead, I'd like some suggestions for events/festivals other than Volkswagen based ones, that people reckon would be good for the club to meet at. It's good to mix it up, the KOMBI Sleepover remains our annual dedicated event but where else could we pitch together and share the experience?

We'll see what folks come up with and then put it to a poll.

We doo like the idea of another get together at another venue.

We would have joined Abs at the Larmer Tree Festival if we had not been away - sounds a good event!

We would also consider the following as a possible alternative (or as well as others):
Marvellous Festival

With regard to CamperJam if the Club was attending we would still go but having been for three years on the trot we could give it a miss!

Doing another of our own events - albeit more relaxed than the Sleepover - near to other attractions - such as Stratford upon Avon etc. could be another option.

I liked the sound of Lamer, which has added attraction of being close, and would also have gone but for my studies this year (now finished, yay! Handing in last paper tomorrow, all 40 pages of it)

Don't know many events but would prefer not to go to CJ next year. I look forward to seeing what people suggest.

Sounds a great idea Tim, no suggestions as yet from us but , will scoure the Internet for ideas...

Can I just add in that, whatever the outcome, clearly people will and should go to whichever events they choose. We just might not have a club pitch, that's all.

I'm going to deershed5 on the first weekend of school summer holidays its near Ripon north Yorkshire its a small family music festival of about 6000. It has new up coming bands ie last year a group called alasca also some has been like Edwin Collins and Gary combs from supergrass but to get van pitch you gotta book early.

Our problem is the bloody dogs, they have to come with us  
Will be doing Camperjam again as we like that event. Apart from that don't have any preferences, more than happy to go with the flow. Might even leave the others at home

We do one in Derbyshire called the YNOT Festival - been for 2 years running now

Will probably be going again - if you don't like music then it wouldn't be for you

Eskdale Dubfest

Looks good but probably a bit too early in the year for us to head that far up north Martin , would probably want to spend more time up there exploring in maybe a warmer month... Think we're going to do Camper Jam and goes without saying the Sleepover and Daz's doo... Hopefully will be able to big up Dubs in the Forest after this weekend too... We did like the look of one of the other festivals you and Alison attended but so little time to fit everything in , especially as I have to try and get to Anfield occasionally too...

They're away at Fat Sam's West Ham on 5th April so no excuse!!!

Come up Friday - stay for a few days then watch them lose to Citeh on the 12th - sorted!

Now there's a plan.... Never been that far up and it's on the to do list so I'm not discounting it just yet... Might even find we try and gatecrash a northern chapter do... Mind if its too cold you might find me heading for the nearest hotel   Southern Softie I know...

Possibly us as well! I will check it in Rudi's calendar and put the date aside for us.
