It is a great 'car' show more than anything else. The displays are filled with a whole range of motors from the VAG stable. It's therefore got a different crowd to the likes of Volksworld and Camperjam. My Audi Cabrio was on the Owner's Club stand a few years back.

But he hasn't bought an Evoque. He's bought a proper Landie.

Thought about an Evoque but it's just not me. Plus, I'd miss the 7 seats.

It's expensive for what it is. You get a lot more for your money with the Disco.

It looks exactly like a car designed by V. Beckham - flashy with no rear view - IMHO looks like a real car sat upon by an elephant towards the rear - sorry I just cannot warm to it - no matter how it runs!!

Anywhoo back to Stanford Hall.  I stayed a short drive from the show at a decent place back in 2010.  You can read about it here.

Stanford Hall is without doubt the best VW day show. There is always an amazing array of VW's of all sizes, shapes, age and condition.

Plus a 'for sale' area if you were thinking of selling your van. A couple of years ago there was a split that was in the process of being renovated - although I don't think there was a single original bit on it - price £48,000 !!

Martin - you could always camp outside our house and drive the 20 miles to Stanford Hall the day of the show !!!

Had a great time at Stanford Hall this year. Camped over Saturday night in the grounds and at a bargain price of £16 per adult including show entry.

Many lovely VW and so many split screen vans it was mind boggling. Would have been good to see the Brazilian bay having a club stand one year.

Hi Sparkysteve, gutted to have missed the show this year, especially as we won't be going for the next 3 years. Still your pics make up for it. Thought of those going as the past few years it has been freezing !! So glad the sun shone.

love Stanford hall show.. not missed one sine 2000... also some nice bluebell pic's in the outwoods, I walk up there most weeks.. not far from my house. :-)
