KOMBI Kaper 2015

Wonder what the dazdub Kombi krew think about heading north-west? I know they're in sunny climes now ...... lucky things!!

Yes, maybe a week or two into the start of the hols rather than right at the beginning. As we wouldn't be tied to ferry crossings/prices maybe it's a possibility? Wouldn't rule it out just based on dates though

Yes, after 8/8 would suit us too, it would mean we can attend the family wedding without it interfering.

I had provisionally booked the same two weeks as this year but am sure I can do later if that's better for the majority.

We luv Scotland and will be up for a trip up north but also luv sun and need both

I'll need to check school dates - schools in Scotland go back half way through August. We could well drop Jnr off at the school gates on the return!

Were struggling around that time but would it be ok if we sneaked a couple of days with you. Itd be good to see who ive been talking to and put some faces to some names.

Sorry Tim but I think the poll is too ambiguous (though I have added a vote), as a lot depends on when the trip is. I for one, whilst would like to go to Scotland at some point, have no desire to take my two girls up there when the midges are biting. I'm also loath to a 2 day slog to a location, knowing I've a similar trip at the end of the hols. Whilst I could possibly manage, there's no way I could keep my girls happy for four days on the move. Likewise, the thought of travel-camp for a bit-travel-arrive is unappealing.

Just my thoughts but a mention of Isle-de-Re elsewhere sounds more appealing (for my 2p)

That's a lot of driving daz but I'll add it in to check the interest.  The thing that seemed unpopular about heading to Italy was the long distances involved.  But let's see what the people think!

hi tim it will only be 100 mile more than we did in France as we will only be driving one way

Very much depends on dates for us. The Ile de Re would guarantee us there whenever the date however!
