Subject: Hampshire Members - Can anyone help my in-laws? Thu Apr 02, 2015 9:06 am
Alison's Mum & Dad are thinking of taking a mini-cruise from Portsmouth to Northern Spain some time this year but Philip is very nervous about leaving his car in Portsmouth whilst they're away.
Is there anyone on here, based fairly close to the Ferry Port, who could let him park their car at your house for a week? -they'd need to be able to get to and from the Ferry but they could get a taxi, hopefully. It's only a small car - a Toyota I think - and they're lovely people, as you'd expect of Mrs B's parents.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

We're fairly far away from Portsmouth Abs and parking in our road is very limited. There is a website that allows you to contact local residents who will allow you to park at there house whilst you are away. parkonmydrive.com.

We are 30 minute drive from Portsmouth, which would make a very expensive cab fare, is it possible to go by rail and then taxi to harbour.

There are some b and bs near Southampton which will keep your car while you go away after your stay with them.....perhaps there is a similar guest house that does it in Portsmouth?
