| Thinking about it some more, there must be plenty of petrol stations within a few hundred yards of a motorway junction and even the most expensive of those will still be significantly cheaper than the motorway services.
We've got members all of the UK so why don't we list them?
I'll start with the one mentioned above and I will put together a spreadsheet or similar so it's easy to see/use when needed.

| We always try to use supermarket petrol stations close to motorway junctions if possible.
For example we always use Morrisons close to Junction 21 of the M5 as it is only a short distance from the junction and so much cheaper than the motorway.

| M3 Junction 9 - Tesco. Always 10p/litre cheaper than Winchester services. | |

That's the one we use at Weston-Super-Mare, post code BS24 7AY, head along A370 towards Weston, turn right at first island. Also there is a Morrisons at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol junction 17 M5, post code BS10 7UD, head towards The Mall, and turn left at first island, and left again. To re-join motorway, turn left on leaving fore-court. (Also an Asda in the same area, but prices are virtually the same)

| Wheatley - ASDA. Just a couple of minutes off the M40, junction 8. Nearly as quick to get to, as to get into and out of the Oxford motorway services. Is also 24 hours. http://storelocator.asda.com/store/wheatley OX33 1YZ I used to live in Wheatley (well before the roads M40 motorway was extended), so it's going back to my roots to stop there. | M5 Junction 2 has an Asda directly off the roundabout. I always use this one when heading to the South West as it means I have enough fuel to get me to the end of the journey. Its closer and easier to get to than most motorway services by the time you have driven around the one way systems.

| Had a busy weekend so didn't manage to fill either of our vehicles at the offer price, with the price of oil still so long we figured this wouldn't be the only time petrol prices would be so low.
Drove past our local Asda this morning and the petrol price was back at 101.7 but a short while later I drove past our even more local Tesco and saw that petrol was at 99.9, with the bonus of collecting Tesco points to use in store!
Quite useful with the Christmas food/drinks bill!! ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| I filled up the 500 from virtually empty to full at the Tesco next to work on 99.9p per litre. Total cost £29.97 - that's 350 miles worth of motoring in the go-kart!! ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Apparently the Sainsburys at junction 12 of the M4 is also at 99.9 ppl so if you're passing why not pop in for a top up.
You get to have a quick look at the new IKEA store being built there too - opening summer 2016. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Local Asda last night . . .
Petrol 99.7p per litre Diesel 103.7 per litre
That 0.2p per litre less no doubt allows them to say they are the cheapest! ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run
