| Hi Everyone, My husband and I have put the deposit down on our newest family member. We were given an ETA for collection of 5 weeks, and we've just passed the first week of waiting. We are happy with the interior (it needs reupholstery and new curtains, but that can wait a while). 3/4 rock and roll bed. Hubby has added on a captains chair swivel, some paintwork needs doing, and I think he's enquiried about solar panels and a roof vent. The reg belongs to PO, but we've got a couple in mind for once he's ours and home. If I've done this right, there should be an interior and exterior shot attached. Beth | |

| Welcome to the club! Lovely looking bus, don't worry its worth the wait. Make sure you tie them down to a delivery date as they, sometimes, go over. | Thank you all for the warm welcome!
I'm glad to know that Ginny (we may need to rename her, as I think it's a he) gets to stay in the BraziBay family.
My husband spoke to Danbury, he's already gone in for some works. Here's hoping we'll be able to go camping for the August bank holiday!
Thank you for the invite to the Halloween do. We both work, so need to check we're not deep in projects for that time.
Very much looking forward to day trips - remote working from the Kombi is really enticing!
Again, thank you for the warm welcome (and to Als for the Facebook group, which I've joined and TimV approved).
Beth
Ps - Solar panels are out for the moment, we will need to investigate and source, then arrange for fitting elsewhere).
Pps. Steve at Danbury confirmed the cover they do won't fit the roof rack, front tyre, and pop top. We've been looking at Protec (spelling?). Does anyone have experience or suggestions? We'd ideally like something warm that we could use while camping, so we can do our February getaways. We used to boat on the Norfolk Broads. I'm sure there's some lovely places near there to take the Kombi... Worst case, he won't fit our garage (too tall) and we need him covered on the driveway.

| Hi, my understanding was that Danbury's cover accommodated the rack and spare wheel. I'll admit that I have one of their covers in my garage but haven't taken it out if the box yet. I've had it about 2 years! ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| I was also under the impression the covers sold by Danbury did fit over a BraziBay fitted with roof rack, front dummy spare and rear spare .... have a look at the following: cover - Cover Time - Page 3________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

Hi JJ, thanks so much for the confirmation. I wondered if it was tied to the visor adding length, or maybe the roof vent being too tall, and it not being lowered. I'm really grateful for all the feedback.

| Thanks. I've definitely got plans... Curtains, I've looked at ready made and custom order. I might have a bash at making my own, as we have a very particular look in mind. Depending how well that goes down, I might do removable covers for the seats. Solar panels - one of us needs a cpap, so we're hoping that 2 x 100 watt panels will fit with the roof vent we're having Danbury add. I think @twiggles has found someone to source and fit. I feel like I ought to be sorting out storage containers, making lists of what staples we need to buy, and all sorts of things I don't want to do until I can measure up the storage. I've got a crochet blanket on the go, and might manage some cushions. | |

How many staplers doo you have? Doo not think we have needed a stapler in our adventures with Scooby so far, but you never know! Oh, not those staples . . . OK suggest you stick with the essentials first - cans and bottles of your favourite tipples. | We have a ProTec cover on our caravan, and will definitely be getting one for our camper as soon as we can find one for sale. Left bedding ect all winter and 11 years later not a single patch of damp or mildew anywhere. Highly recommended not cheap but worth every penny in my opinion
