As far as I am aware yes Angela, it says it works at every toll station on their website. A friend of mine used one when he drove Dover to La Rochelle and he loved it and saved him loads of time bypassing the queues. If you were to want one from Toll Tickets you just select collection from Harbour Shipping and let me know and I can pick it up and get it too you. Do check out their website and look at their tariffs to make sure it's cost effective though.. ________________________________________________________________________________ Steve, Jo TigerLily and Carra the Child lovin' Golden Cocker

| Steve - would we be category 2? altho that says only for over 3 metres - so maybe category 1? a maximum height of 3 meters but it doesn't show a picture of a camper only a car with roof box/bikes on top?
pricing - £3.65 one off activation fee then from 22nd day 19p per day then 9% on top of the toll charges?
any thoughts anyone on whether this is a good idea or whether to pay as you go? |

Hi Angela , category one is up to 2m only and most Paege will have height restrictions so you'd need to register as a Cat 2 and use the auto lane without the height restriction, you're definitely not Cat 3 Most people returning the tags to us advise the time they save not sitting in the queues especially at peak holiday times is well worth paying that little bit more for. By the way I'm not a sales person for Toll Tickets we get paid a set annual fee as a distribution point irrespective of the amount collected or the usage on them. | that's all good info thankyou - I'm just trying to establish with them that it would cover the st malo to La Rochelle route - as the map is too small for me to see.
also if you were to bring us one at camper jam would the daily charging period start from then - eg. the 21 day free period and then the 19p per day? |

| Depending on the route you decide to take, and apart from the bridge over to the island, I think there is only one toll on the main route anyway. Between Nantes and Saint-Hermine (~80km) which looks like it will cost EUR 11.60 each way. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

Hi Angela if using the Toll road is only going to cost 11.50 Euros in Each Direction then I'd stick with the tolls. If your doing a bit of touring and jumping on and off toll roads the Tag might be beneficial. The badges are scanned when they are dispatched so yes the 21 Day free period is activated when I scan it but I could always post it out to you nearer to the time of your departure to avoid you exceeding the limit. It'll go in our work post at no cost Have a think and let me know , it's no problem to me at all whatever you decide. ________________________________________________________________________________ Steve, Jo TigerLily and Carra the Child lovin' Golden Cocker

| Just coming out of Bilbao now. There are lots of tunnels which require you to put your headlights on. Make sure you've fitted your deflectors in good time.
There's an early toll of €1.18. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| There's always a massive queue at the French border. The toll is €1.70. Make sure you have change. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

If people struggle to get change if it makes it easy for everyone I can get 10 Euros in change (1 or 2 Euro Coins) for every van and exchange for a note when on the ferry. The exchange rate is rising again too ________________________________________________________________________________ Steve, Jo TigerLily and Carra the Child lovin' Golden Cocker

| You'll spend about €20 in tolls to get to Biaritz. They all take notes as well as coins but coins will be quicker for the cheaper ones. I think the most expensive was around €12.50.

Cheers Abs was only looking at this today and thought there would be parts of our route where we'd hit the tolls. Were the tolls all in Spain ? ________________________________________________________________________________ Steve, Jo TigerLily and Carra the Child lovin' Golden Cocker
