Our van is now 5 years old, and we have had it over 4 years, so how has it been so far. We have certainly had moments of grief, and would not take back any of our criticisms of the vehicle and its condition. Having said that, it has done what we bought it for in style. We have done 5 European trips in 4 years, and we have 2 more planned for 2017. After health problems from using hotels, I have found camping in the VW excellent. Was buying the T2 a good decision? There are certainly days when I wonder why we did not buy a T5, but I very much doubt if it would have been so enjoyable to drive; 0 - 60 in a couple of hours seems a pleasant change from modern cars. What is certain, is that there has never been a moment when we wished we had bought a motorhome with all mod cons. People look amazed that the 2 of us plus German Shepherd Dog can live in it for 2 to 3 weeks, but we keep making minor changes to suit our requirements. We have 3 different local garages that help keep it in good order: engine/bodywork/domestics, so that we do not need to make the journey down to Danbury, and just use them for parts when required. Hopefully it will last us many more happy years.

What value for money too. We bought a new car and a new Danbury Diamond at the same time 9 years ago. Now the car has lost £16,000 and the camper value remains near to the purchase price. A lucky investment! osg

thats the reason why we drive a t2c. always happy faces and by myself too. i drive a t5 for all days but this is not the same. as my car burned in the last year i was very sad. and now i cant wait for the first trip with the t2c. i think i would never sell the car. so many happy hours in the car, with the car. at meetings at events and all the good thought about. i can understand you for this what you writes down, and it is what i think too. hopefully that all was correct writes that you understand it , haha maby in the future the t5 goes broken and it will come a new car here in the family but the t2 i would all do for repair it. it is a live feeling for our family.
