PostSubject: hazard lights switch   Mon Aug 07, 2017 12:27 pm

Hello my dears. A request to you. Can someone please take a picture of the switch of the warning light? Remove the switch and take photographs of the cable. At the switch itself is with me a possibility of the cable allocation not "occupied" and I am now not sure whether there is still a cable. And the second question is: is the flashlight relay from Brazil equal to the European Railais?the orginal brazilian relais is a yellow relais. Because my turn signal goes, but warning light does not work. I am now on guessing whether it is the switch, the railais or a cable is just broken There is nothing bad, but it annoys. LG from Germany.
Georg

Hi Georg, on the bottom of page are the connections on the switch, and on the top of page 2 the wiring diagram, I can't see connection 58B connected to anything, if this helps.

As for the relay:-

Relay 3 (yellow) is a UETA U022, and a quick search gives 38 equivalents as in this link. (If you keep clicking on the equivalents, one of the vw ones is 1HO 953 227 which looks to be the same as the one in your picture)

From an old discussion which I can't find now I think the middle contact on the switch (58b) might be for night time illumination ie when connected to 12V the knob glows dimly. All my switches do this. You could connect it to something that is only 12V when the headlights are on but mine are on all the time (when ignition on) and you can't see them glowing during the day.
