| Hi, has anyone manage to take their Brazi bay on the Euro tunnel with duel fuel tanks? To my knowledge Daisy has only had petrol in her. Euro tunnel has her down as duel fuel and suggests we take a tank out! thanks | |

| I suspect it's because they have assumed she is running petrol and LPG rather than petrol and/or ethanol and they don't like LPG in their tunnel..... ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Tallulah is correct and if i'm not wrong most of our V5's show us as running on biofuel which is where Eurotunnel get their info from. I believe @sundialsoft use the tunnel so would be interested to know if it's just a case of making a written declaration confirming you have petrol in both tanks. ________________________________________________________________________________ Steve, Jo TigerLily and Carra the Child lovin' Golden Cocker | |

| I've just spoken to a friend who works on the tunnel and he has said if you are listed as running on Biofuel on your V5 they won't be able to accept you.
Somebody did raise this before so will try and find the thread.

| @sundialsoft is Aircooled so no separate tank to cause confusion. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| My V5 form just states petrol and have been on shuttle several times. However they did charge me a supplement of 11 pounds per trip as it was classed as a motor caravan but identical sized vehicles are not charged this. Seems a bit of a con. I had no idea that E85 was not allowed and I always came back with a tank full of it. | |

| We took our watercooled through a couple of months ago. No problems at all. Never mentioned v5's or dual tanks. Just said our burner gas tank couldn't be full (they never checked this though) ________________________________________________________________________________ | |

I don't think they have an issue with E85, but I might be wrong. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Eurotunnel take their information from the V5 which is the cause of the problem. My V5 states Gas Bi Fuel and I'd guess Wendy's says the same whereas bobbo12 and T2D2 I'm sure yours will say petrol. I'm sure speaking to DVLA we could get them changed. Jo's Dad had the same problem trying to book a Porsche DVLA had that registered as Petrol/Gas so but after a number of arguments and a letter from a local garage saying his only ran on petrol they accepted his booking. ________________________________________________________________________________ Steve, Jo TigerLily and Carra the Child lovin' Golden Cocker | |

| Hi, Many thanks for all this information. Yes, my V5 does state gas bi-fuel. Am off to the garage on Monday to see a man about a rather lovely van and have a word with Euro tunnel again! Thanks again, Wendy | |

| Hi, just an update on Daisy v Euro tunnel! We took Daisy to our garage who confirmed in writing no LPG gas workings/tank, that she runs on petrol or ethanol. We phoned the DVLA explained all and have sent off the V5, letter from the garage and a covering letter to them. They are issuing a new log book stating the fuel type as petrol. We will be riding the train Thanks again Wendy | |

Thanks again Wendy Well done Wendy , that's great news. I know I should do the same really, especially as Eurotunnel is 12miles from me and in the six years we've had our van we're still to cross the channel via the tunnel. ________________________________________________________________________________ Steve, Jo TigerLily and Carra the Child lovin' Golden Cocker | |
