| So nearly a year since we first launched this poll, the 5 most popular options are now:
1. Leisure Battery 2. Pop Top 3. Gas Hob 4. 240v Hook Up 5. Sink/Fridge (Joint)
This is interesting as I reckon it points to people making much more use of the leisure battery in their T2s for running equipment such as DVDs and laptops. I reckon there's a good argument for conversion companies to offer more in the way of connectivity via USB around the cabin. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| A couple of 12v connectors connected to the leisure battery would be useful, I know a few people have added their own (not got round to adding ours yet) but very useful if fitted as part of the conversion.
USB would also be useful, USB runs on a much lower voltage meaning something 'extra' would be needed to make them work. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Agree about 12v connectors being useful additions - planning to place a couple in Eva - one near 13amp sockets under r/r bed, another near 13amp sockets in storage unit above fridge compressor. | |

| The simplest and easiest way to get USB power is to fit 12v sockets and get a mini 12v USB car charger
12v mini USB
These sit flush with the outside of the 12v socket and have all the stuff already fitted inside them for the 5v needed for USB.
To hard wire USB sockets you'll need to find female USB socket that can be fitted into a panel and not mounted to a circuit board. Voltage regultor to step the voltage down to 5v and it will need to be wired up correctly otherwise it will fry your device pluged onto it. ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van

| Hard wired USB seems like quite a hassle but I like the 12v mini USB 'plugin', best of both as the 12v connectors are reasonably straight forward to fit. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| We simply like the idea of not draining the main battery so we can always start Scooby may want to run off at any moment of the day ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run | |

| When I did mine. I cut the wire coming from the back of the fuse box for the 12v socket and connected that to the leasure battery. I found the best place to get to the front cab light wires was on the left hand A pillar. you can see where the cables run up by the washer bottle. ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |

| Great thread. I would even say essential reading for anyone looking at buying or looking at spec on their van if they are still in a position to choose. A couple of extras that we got when we ordered Morrison were IMHO a waste of money - the swivel seat and the reverse sensors - the latter seem to speak a code which has absolutely no relevance to anything behind me*! One of my favourites (also not on the list), which admittedly does not add to the funcitionality of the van, but is aestheticallly very pleasing is the retro steering wheel.
*They have been adjusted and apparently it is my fault, due to the rigorous regular polishing of the chromE bumpers!

| I have never heard of too much cleaning being the reason for a technical failure.

| Pop Top is No. 1 for us - for reasons already covered by others. Closely followed by hob (cup of Tea anyone?) - Lowering is great for looks and I think handling is better too.

That seems to be all We stated the above in March 2011 - still all current for Scooby (Doo not intend to tow any thing) ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run
