Great news that tiger lily is now coming to play

Hi all, regrettably we are going to have to cancel this one, getting enough time off is proving a pain plus Sulley still has running issues and although he should be sorted by then this would be the first trip out and i don`t want to find there`s still a problem with the kids on board and on a long journey.  

We are on pitch WY08, does anyone else want to grab it before i call them?

Unfortunately I guess that this event is now going to be in doubt. Love2Stay is now closed for the time being, as for all other campsites. Payments of the balance are due on April 3rd, by which time the situation might hopefully be clearer.

Since my last post I have had an email reminding that the balance is due by April 3rd. Unfortunately we will have to cancel anyway, since due to a medical condition I am in the highest risk category which requires that I am in self-isolation at home for the next 12 weeks. I probably won't cancel until April 3rd anyway, in the hope that the situation might have become clearer by then.

It isn't really relaxed, although it's not compulsory and I could choose to take the risk. I would probably be safe to venture out with social distancing, but unfortunately it isn't possible to maintain social distancing when many don't bother and can't understand what the fuss is all about.

Sorry I meant if home confinement is relaxed in the near future and lesser rules apply.
And self-isolation is every convenience within a self-sufficient BraziBay

I’ve not had anything from Love 2 Stay so far but there is no chance of this being able to go ahead.
We’re likely to still be in lock down...

I’ve just had a reminder to pay the outstanding balance.

I think it unlikely that things will settle down in next 6 and a half weeks, although I would love to be wrong.

My daughter’s self-isolating at home for 12 weeks so I won’t be leaving her.

Next year I hope.

Hi I've had the reminder also. I think it is auto-generated. I expect we'll still be in lockdown in May given the latest messages. Pity.

The Love2Stay website now says that they will be emailing everyone with a May booking to offer a number of options, although they don't say what those options are. We only ever paid the deposit anyway, so at worst we will only lose that if they are not offering refunds. I'm guessing that it would be difficult to reorganise for an alternative date this year. As I previously mentioned, I'm now about a month into a minimum 12 week lockdown, so unfortunately we are not going to be booking anything for the foreseeable future.

I've just had the email from Love2Stay. We only paid the non-refundable deposit. Options are:

1. Cancel and get a Credit Voucher.
2. Change booking without fees.

We too are in a long term lockdown so we won't be booking any time soon. Just wondered if as a group we should aim to rebook for May 2021?

We've had the email too. I notice that whereas they offered refunds for April bookings, they are not doing so for May bookings. Their Terms and Conditions include the following:

"We have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse to confirm any reservation. Where we have indicated that we will not accept a booking from you or accept your presence, we reserve the right at our sole discretion to cancel any booking you may have made or refuse to allow you to enter the park or to ask you to leave our premises.
If we do so we will refund any payment made but will not pay any compensation."

"We will not be responsible for any matters that result from any unforeseeable and unforestallable events that are beyond our control."

I'm not sure whether the second of those provisions allow them to refuse refunds on the basis of a "force majeure". We only paid the deposit anyway, so it's no big deal. I guess that anyone who had paid the full amount via a credit card would be able to claim it back via their credit card company, since it's over £100.

I'd be interested to know if others wanted to rearrange, say for next year, especially those who paid in full. I would probably be inclined to try to claim a refund, and a voucher failing that. However, I wouldn't want to cause trouble with the site if it then made it difficult to arrange a replacement date.
