2019 Pre-Christmas Curry - Birmingham 16th November

So who fancies a Pre-Christmas Curry in Birmingham on Saturday 16th November with either a one night or two night stop over ?

We did it last year over the same weekend and it was lots of fun and happily coincides with the German Christmas Market.

The plan would be to meet up during the afternoon of the 16th November in the wonderful Canal House Pub in Bridge Street.







Following that head back to your chosen hotel to freshen up before we head into Birmingham for a fantastic Curry.
We are currently looking for a venue for the Curry , last years Curry was really good but we hope to find another more suitable restaurant for our group.

Hotels , last year many of us stayed at the Premier Inn on Bridge Street , which unfortunately is already fully booked.
I have however looked at other hotels and here are some that have been found.

I think it's a 2 night minimum booking if you want Saturday night.

We're up for this, but can't go on Friday night. We haven't decided whether to just stay Saturday night or stay over Sunday as well.

Ah yes, that makes sense now. I’m going to try some alternatives.

We stayed only on the Saturday night at the Premier Inn last year, I’m pretty sure when I put the post up all hotels would take a Saturday night only. Am thinking as room availability shortens they do start selling 2 night packages, not good...

The three of us that have booked all have free cancellations on our rooms so if the rest of the group are having problems then we can always look at alternatives, there is a big concert on apparently so maybe that and the market are having a bigger than anticipated impact.

I've got a room at the Ibis Budget for £109 for the Saturday night. They have a car park. £7 for 24hrs.

We've booked Hampton by Hilton, Saturday and Sunday, free cancellation for the time being, might change it to non-refundable later.

Premier Inn Hagley Road - 20 mins walk to Canal House is available Saturday Night Only

Both Premier Inn Hagley Road and Broad Street are available for 2 Nights Sat and Sun

Booked the Holiday Inn Express - City Centre. 3 mins walk from the Canal House.

Lots of things happening on the Saturday night. The Dualers (SKA band) on at the O2 Academy, Jack Whitehall at the Arena and of course it's the first weekend of the Christmas market. It's going to be a busy Brum.....
