For those of you who went on the inaugural Kombi Kaper you'll remember @HelenBay .... she accidentally sent this as a pm to me, so here it is .....
Tim and all you good people
Helen here with Edie, we came to France with you all several years ago and the Banbury Sleepover and loved it all and then just got carried away with life and not being communicative. Sorry......
Good to know that you're all still alive and kicking.
What's going to happen? Are we going to be able to get out on the road this year do you think? Stupid questions with no answers expected.
I've parked Bluebelle in my dead Dad's garage for the winter in safe, suburban Kenilworth. She's had a lovely time with her battery winding down.
I've taken it on the chin that Cornwall and festivals are not going to happen this year and she could just sleep through the summer whilst we camp in the garden. I told Adrian Flux that she was SORNed and securely off road. They're still quoting £194 for cover from the middle of May for the year.
What are you all doing?
Helenx

If SORNed and off road I think insurance is not compulsory. However it would be wise to have some cover as accidents, theft etc can still happen. Am staying taxed and insured so occasional use is still possible osg

Yep would always advise some form of insurance in place. You can never be certain what may happen...

I had a similar issue with Comfort. I explained that the vehicle was SORN and asked if I could insure third party, fire and theft until such time as it’ll be on the road again. They said this couldn’t be done but instead took my annual mileage down to 1k and removed the breakdown cover.
