Also, sorry to ask another question, but could anyone give us a rough idea of what it would cost to insure a van for a year, or any insurers we could get a quote from? The only quote we could find was about £1600, but it probably doesn't help that we live in east London and don't have a garage.

My BraziBay costs £340 fully comp. I live in the home counties and the bus is off the road under a maxiport.

Mine lives on the 'street' in Hove and is £390 fully comp! Try getting a quote from Adrian Flux who advertise on this forum, alot will depend obviously on the year of your Brazibay and air/water cooled etc etc etc......

re: insurance:

Bessy cost me £275 fully comp with unlimited mileage, I live in essex and bessy sleeps in a garage when not in use, however the insurance does not cover you for third party cover in another vehicle and it cannot be used for travel to and from place of work, it does give you 3 months abroad cover included i believe..... the company is caravanwise...... a reasonable option if you have a second/additional vehicle.

good luck,

eddy

lol! in fact Max was here 5 months before his 'port' arrived. When I was looking for a suitable carport and this one showed up with that name - it just had to be done!
