Hi. There is not an idle adjustment like a carb. The idle is controlled by the ECU. It open and closes a idle actuator to maintain 850 rpm when at idle.
The actuator is mounted behind the throttle body and air manifold. It opens or closes to control the air bypassing the throttle body.
It looks like a silver can with two pipes and an electricalconnector. You can disconnect and give it a good clean as it does get grime. You can also test with 12v to see if it opens and closes.
It does have a factory set screw gap which allows a small idle air so make sure that's open a little.
Can you confirm what symptoms you are suffering from?
Also check out my blog site for diagnostic manuals.

Brilliant thank you do you have any thoughts on using the thicker oil as apparently this improves oil pressure when hot

P.s Steve 20/50 oil appernatly gives better oil pressure as runs thicker when hot .. after fitting my oil presure gauge my presure is not great when the engine is running hot sitting at 1.5 bar on a 5 bar gauge starts up OK on 2.5 bar also when at hot idol it's 0.25 bar apparently the thicker oil would help any one know any down sides to using it ...p.s yes fitting a oil presure gague is mixed blessing ha
