hello all hope everyone is doing good, im alan and ive just joined, i have a 2005 bay in black and white, running on brm 5 spokes and has been lowered about 4 inches (still wont fit into many domestic garages though!). i live in burnely lancs if anyone is close my and fancies a beer or a brew and a chat about all things vw give me a shout!

Hi Alan, welcome aboard. I've taken the up and over mech off of our garage door and raised it and the frame up a couple of inches. Opening the door from the inside by operating the shoot bolts the door comes off completely and I lean it against the side of the house. Sounds complicated but as its not a daily it isn't too bad, keeps the bus out of the weather. Billy
