Vanwest 6th -8th May Warren Farm Brean

Hi all,

Just got back so thought would put a bit of a write up n the weekends event. Unfortunatly the weather was not at its best for some of the weekend and put a bit of a dampner on parts but it good an the whole. Went on a good hunt round for Brazilian bays found seven (including us) over the course of the weekend a few i recognise of here. Saw SplitSombraro van looking really good (showing up the T5's either side did not manage to meet up as we kept crossing paths, but will keep the cider for another time!!!

We were parked by the day entrance and got a lot of interest from the day entries asking about the van and Danbury (put it a good word Jason) had a few take the details of here to have a look as they aer in the process of deciding ald and new.

All in all it was a good weekend especially as it was our first VW meet. Was a little dissapointed that our 11 week old puppy seemed to be the star of the show if all the interest was anything to go by. Any Hopefully we will be in the official pics on the site.

Scooby went for the day on Saturday (left the house at 7:30am) and we also looked around for other BraziBays
Saw you a couple of times whilst walking around but no one home when we were around
The weather on Saturday was not great but mostly dry with only the odd split now and then
Scooby was the only BraziBay in the day parking that we saw but we did see this

The above was something different - not VW perhaps - but it did put a smile on our face
We love the shiny American Airstream caravans (the Bambi is our favourite) and there was an Airstream Caravan being used at the show in the food area (not a good picture, too many people, not the right angle etc. but if you go on ebay and search Airstream you will see the large and the small - older ones can be polished to a mirror shine - we like them)

There were some of the more modern contraptions (T4 or T5's we think they are called) as well as some Splittys that were low, and we mean low, see below. However we liked the Ice Cream Split - last seen at Volksworld



After the show Scooby wanted to go back to Brean Beach (we were only there last week at the end of our extended Easter Trip) so we went on to the sand for a nice walk - after a 20 min shower that appeared shortly after arriving

As the tide looked to be closing in we left Brean for the short hop to Weston Super Mare where we had a late dinner - home cooked meal in the shape of a bountiful salad - and watched the sea come in and the clouds get darker
There was for a while some orange clouds in the distance which we tried to capture below

Well it was time to leave now as the rain started to pour!
Got home at 11:30pm - a good day out - weather could have been better

Scooby we saw you but missed you as well. Was a great show. Peppa will ad some more pics when my comp decides to play.

I've only ever been to Weston Super Mare once, the beach there seemed great, just miles of sand.

Although I suppose that's a bit grim if you want to throw a few pebbles in the sea

Well spotted Peppa it sure is. Did not see him around though!
