We will be up on the Friday also. You may have to check with the campsite on the correct distance between the vehicles as I would guess there will probably be some form of H&S standards to follow due to fire risk etc.

It'll all be fine.

The camp site might not be concerned about H&S but I suspect our respective insurance companies would if there did happen to be 'an incident'.

Officially, i think there needs to be at least 3m between each unit so since our Kombis are just short of 2m wide, pitches that are at least 5m wide (6m to be on the safe side) should suffice. 6m wide is fairly standard on campsites.

Now your all taking the fun out of it, let common sense prevail and we'll all be ok. (fingers crossed )

Insurers would be unable to repudiate on the basis of being too close - as far as I know there's no arbitary 3m limit.

As I said, it'll be my snoring that keeps us apart...

As an added incentive for anyone not yet coming, Alison and I are going to make some Uncle Joe's Vodka to bring with us. Maybe it's an acquired taste but I'm sure some of you will like it.

"Madge" has now cleared her social diary for this weekend and will be heading to the Sleepover to add to the Blue Zone number.

On the subject of space in the field, it's the Admin team's responsibility to ensure everyone gets a place and is pitched safely. There are nearly 40 Kombis attending which means close to 100 people at the event. It's a much larger field than last year but we'll need to have some kind of order to enable us to make best use of the area. There are 4 constants that require accommodating: those booked into EHUs, those booked into a grass pitch, a central location for the Club Event shelter and an area for rounders clear enough to avoid any damage to any of the Kombis or anything else for that matter.

There is what's described as a doggy poopy area to the south-east of the field, which I understand is for 'exercising your hounds' in - clearly we don't expect anyone to want to pitch within close proximity of this so I anticipate the area to the north-east of this is probably where those who want to, will play rounders.

The 12 electric hook-ups are along the western and southern borders of the field so if you've booked one of those that's where you can expect to pitch. Grass pitches: once the location of the Club Event Shelter has been determined, you can park where you wish, as long as it's deemed safe for you to do so. The Event Shelter will be in place sometime on the Friday afternoon.

We want everyone to enjoy the occasion, and just as last year, the emphasis is on fun and a celebration of life with our BraziBays.
