23rd June The KOMBI Sleepover 2012

Entry to The KOMBI Sleepover 2012 is now closed!

We will have 39 BraziBays spending the night together on June 23rd.

Thank you so much to everyone who's booked to come, I am very appreciative of your commitment.

So keep close to your 'puter screens over the next 10 days as I will be posting up information that you'll need to know about the event.

Let's hope the sunshine shows up for us - if it doesn't our Kombi Spectrum will certainly brighten up the dullest day!

PS: we will actually have 40 T2s attending as I have agreed for someone with a Classic to join us. Clearly they want to know what all the fuss is about.

I've only just realised that if England finish runners up in Group D their first knock out game will be on the 23rd.

Does anybody know if the local pub will have it on (should it happen) or is there a plan to have it on at the camp site?

Fingers crossed we can win the group and then play on Sunday night

I'm sure we will find a way to see it. Good call though. If you are desperate you can watch it in my camper. Only a small screen.

I'm sure someone with electrickery will allow you to plug in a telly. Max's sockets will be taken already - sorry.

You're not wrong, there's a great bunch of people on here

Your more than welcome to plug in with us, we don't have a telly tho, so if you or anyone else has a bigger than 4inch screen were on! Can't miss the footie!

There is good 3G at the site but NO WI-FI - so you could watch via TV Catchup.

If people are stuck and desperate, I have a TV aerial on Sunny and my 13" MacBook has a tuner. Not sure what Freeview reception is like at the campsite but given its location, can't believe it will be bad.

We will also have our 13" portable DVD/Freeview screen with us and a 'yet to be tested' freeview aerial booster.

PS: it also has AV and audio out cables so if anyone has a small projector and screen we could blow it up big and connect to the PA!

I have a projector and 60" screen (used to play a lot of LAN Halo matches) though not sure I really want to lug that But would creat a nice atmosphere. I've had a few World Cup match parties using the setup.

Sounds interesting.... how about we wait and see a) what happens in the other group games; and b) what the weather looks like closer to the event; and we can decide if it's worth it then.

Could turn it into a competition to see how many people you can fit into a Bay to watch TV.

Count me out though. Have no interest in the football what so ever.

Got to agree with the 'Kitemeister', I do like football, however, not when camping, and anyhow the 'Republic' won't be playing!!

Was hoping to get away this weekend for a first attempt at putting the new awning up but the forecast looks terrible. Next weekend may be our first attempt - if anyone's tempted to step in with assistance, please wait until Alison and I are at the point where we start to shout at each other!

If it's any consolation, next Friday will be the first time I've put up the event shelter - because the weather has been so pants - so that could be 3 of us having an awning related meltdown! We can chuckle about it later in the pub!

Oh dear, we might have to get there mega-early...

And another one for a first attempt at putting up an awning (and attaching to my camper). As I'm camping on my own, it could be even more hilarious.

That's torn it (figuratively speaking, I hope). You've gone and put a time constraint on. No pressure then.

Out first attempt at putting up and attaching our awning was at CamperJam last year in front of everyone. It's character building!
