Empty nest syndrome has hit Mrs Haddock and myself particularly hard this year and as a result we've decided to take Madge off to Devon on Christmas eve for few days. A pub very near to the Caravan Club site in Dornafield has been booked for xmas day lunch and thankfully they will allow our faithful Collie dog Poppy to accompany us.
Anyone else planning to be away in their wagon over the festive period?

I'm looking forward to the empty nest thing. One to go but some who we thought had fledged keep flying back home like prize winning pigeons...

Weather forecast is looking remarkably decent for our forthcoming visit to Devon - so no regrets as yet. Suitably sized Christmas tree and lights have been packed too so our Madge should look festive enough during her stay. Happy Chrimbo one and all!

Had a great Christmas Day. Pub 25 mins walk away but that made us all feel a little bit less guilty at over indulging. Food and wine at The Union Inn in Denbury was ace....highly recommended wateringhole. Dornafield campsite is smashing. Very friendly with welcoming drinks party on Christmas Eve. Two other pubs to poke our noses into today on our dog walk. Hope you all had a fine day too. Cheers!
