Southern Contingent Summer Picnic - Wiltshire, Sun 22nd July

i thought i would propose a picnic for those of us down south. I think i have found a spot that is central to the south and so takes in as many members as possible. Hopefully this would catch people between london and bristol, and birmingham to southampton.

The location would be Barbury castle in Wiltshire, just south of junc 15 of the M4. link here.
Having zoomed in on the map, the car park looks to have room for quite a few vehicles, there are toilet facilities, and there is an aminity field next to the carpark that we could gather in for picnicing and the possible rounders game.

As a provisional date, weather permitting, i thought sunday 22 july from 11am onwards. People to prvide their own food and drink.

What do people think?

That's good for us too, no bookings for Tallulah on that w/e (yet) but we can come along in our car in any case if she gets booked.

As soon as I had written that I received an enquiry for that weekend! Someone interested in hiring Tallulah for BugJam and Santa Pod - not a problem as long as they don't try to race her!

Unfortunately we can't make it, we start out on our holidays that evening

Thought I'd pop this at the top of the pile given that the Northern Chapter have a recent post.

We definitely have Tallulah that weekend - we've booked it out for ourselves now - and are considering attending Dubs at the Castle in South Wales as it was recommended as a good one, then drop in on the picnic on the way home on Sunday.
