I plan to take the kombi to both the Cambridge Folk Festival (July) and Cropredy (August) next year. Anyone go this year or planning to go next - any views on the camping facilities?

We've been to both - Cropredy once, and Cambridge at least 3 times with the van (love it!). In theory you need an additional campervan ticket for Cambridge and need to camp away from the main festival site (Cherry Hinton Hall camping is for tents only) - but they run a constant bus shuttle and its nice to be a bit away from the noise overnight on nice well mown grass (think its the rugby pitches). You can set up tents/awnings next to your vehicle. The facilities are fairly basic but absolutely fine...and as you'd expect they are nicer at the start of the weekend. It's all very friendly and they have a few kids activities on site in the mornings and food stalls etc too. Needless to say, we'll be there again next year.
Cropredy camping is adjacent to the festival site and I seem to remember it was not quite as good re facilities - but this was a few years back so others may have a more recent view...and the beer was strong, so memories are a little weak
