| Whoops, just put 1.5litres of diesel into my airbay. Have diluted it with 30litres of petrol and seems to be driving OK.
Am in Tiree, should I be worried? Any advice?
Cheers

| Keep topping the tank up, and keep driving, you might get away with it as 1 1/2 litres is not a lot, also these vehicles were designed to run on dirty fuel....
Good luck..... ________________________________________________________________________________ I thought the van was blue, but now I'm told its Lilac

| Nice bit of lubrication for the fuel system!
When you get a chance throw in a bottle of STP Fuel Injector Cleaner - just to sharpen things up. About £5. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| Like others have said you will be ok if you keep topping it up. On the bright side you should get the best mpg on the journey home | |

| Thanks everyone - I've made it home. Didnt notice anything different about the van, so looks like no harm done this time - phew!! Will get some STP cleaner tomorrow.
Kiteman - it took considerable effort, but you can get the diesel hose into the unleaded hole if you force it!!
Have Google Translated what Tim just said - "Kombi has that prevention insertion sir!". Hmmm.

It didn't translate it correctly, what I said was 'Kombi DOESN'T have the prevention insert sir!' ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay
