| Looks like I will have to look for an alternative too, just seen my mate Mark who owns the Fat Fowl in the town centre on the BBC1 national news, flooded twice over the last week. Luckily I live on top of a hill, but we are surrounded by rivers, which all flood meaning I can't get home. Been in Bristol for last two weeks and was planning on going home tomorrow, may be an interesting journey, just started chucking it down again. | |

| Dizzy, I bet all those who bought in the new apartment block by the river there aren't very happy. I remember looking at those as they were going up and thinking "risky". | |

| Agreed, when it was the old Avon rubber factory it probably didn't matter much, but it always flooded.
To be honest, I have seen it worse, but you would think they would avoid building homes where they know it floods regularly.
There are others a lot more worse off, I really feel for those on the Somerset levels, and in other parts of the country.

Take care x ....as you say the weather is dreadful .luckily we live in area safe from flooding in Luton. There are a lot less fortunate people out there -roll on the summer so the less fortunate get a rest bite from the weather.

| Funnily enough it's fine up north. Still at least the Govt are getting involved now that the Thames has risen a bit. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder
