Campsites on Skye Empty
PostSubject: Campsites on Skye   Campsites on Skye EmptyWed Feb 12, 2014 9:06 am

Alison and I have just spent a week on The Applecross Peninsula and had a wonderful relaxing break, albeit not in Absinthe this time.

We had a day on Skye which was great (blessed with excellent weather - blue skies always help) and we're planning to take Absinthe up there for a week in September. Can anyone recommend any good campsites on the island where we could stay for a week?

Poor Absinthe! She would have loved the trip - wonder how she would have coped on the Bealach Na Bah!

Not well on the day we went over, Gordon. It's was quite thick snow at the top. Fortunately we followed the snow plough although he made me pass him in the Disco when we got to the top.

hi all
if your going to the isle of skye
take a trip on the ferry its a smashing drive
both sides . if you like walking
try a circular walk around loch clair and loch coulin
a circular walk about 6 miles near torridon
also you must go to plocton
snowdrop done belach na ba 10/9/ 2008
at the summit we could only see about two yards
we had to guess what the view must have been like
have fun
snowdrop x x
