| OK so its a year down the line, and my van still doesn't have a name! Am sure VWs harder to name than any baby or pet!!
My last van was Donald and I like this name but is it bad form to call your 2nd van the same name as the first?
Ive toyed with Delilah (when it broke down) but now that I know the words to the song, it doesn't seem appropriate as Delilah met with a tragic end!!
When I bought it, its name was Isabella (i.e. from Brazil), but I think this van is a male not a female so can't call it that.
Any suggestions - am finding it really difficult!!

| Looks very similar in colour to my brother's & he hasn't yet named his either. Can't mutually agree a name with my sister-in-law!! How about Archie? Or Ronald (similar to Donald?!). | |

| We inherited Stan's name, so we didn't have to make that all important and critical decision.
I had a cat and renamed him after two weeks. Eventually he was called Tuscan after the TVR. He was expensive and ran around the house drifting his back end out on the wooden floors. I also had spreadsheets for working out my daughters names.
So, what about Max, as in Devo-max!!! As Veedubs are good fun but you never know how much they'll cost you!
Or Donald and Murdoch (2 Scottish twin engines in Thomas the tank) Very cheeky and probably temperamental. In one story they swap tenders (their numbers weren't on their main body) to confuse every one.
If you're not sure of gender yet. How about Ally, as it will do for McCoist or a girls name. Then you can decide later.
Or O'Neill. As in Jack. Surf pioneer and also Scottish sounding. Perfect!!!!

| Hey Gordonmac - not sure why you are so worried. We've had our van for over 5 years and it is still called 'the van.' And it hasn't complained once about not having a name. What about a clan name? Obviously if you are a Scot you can pick your own.........if not, how about Sutherland (mine)? Sutherland the VW - has a certain ring to it !! | |

Or anything from the 'Magic Roundabout' (several Scottish related names if I recall), just avoid Mr Rusty. | |

| Too many names! It's very difficult. I like most (apart from Absinthes suggestions of Sturgeon and Salmond). Think I should stick with D after Donald so dougal, dillian Davie or Duncan all good. Though still quite like Archie.
JLS - you definitely need to get yours named too after 5 years - it's neglect otherwise!
