BT phone bill!

Sorry, nothing to do with T2c's but just checked my online phone bill (Iwas very bored!) and noticed that on top of the basic charge for line rental, I was also paying for 'Friends and Family Mobile' that I had never asked for! I contacted BT and found that I'd been paying it for 2 years, nice man apologised and said it would be removed immediately plus I would get a full refund! About 3 years ago I also found that they had moved me to a much more expensive plan without my permission, they also apologised and refunded in full then! They didn't seem surprised on either occassion - is it a salesman trying to meet his targets that is doing this? Check your BT bill, you might be wasting money!

For the last quarter, somebody has dialled a mobile phone for 78 hours or so, costing























£340.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


has anyone got any suggestions on how to broach the subject to my son?

Yikes. Some form of repayment plan perhaps?

oh dear....change his phone to pay as you go and he can top it up from now on !

Well, we've banned him from using the home (landline) phone, and got him a contract phone with a fixed monthly limit. When he's run out, he's run out! I would like the idea of pay as you go, but that requires him working to earn money, and that will never happen.....

And also, if he had a pay as you go, he'll play one parent off against the other and get around us, so a fixed contract is easier.

I've also found out his girlfriend has also got a £300+ phone bill, so we're not the only ones.

hopefully they will both learn from their mistakes eh! and we all make mistakes

I remember putting my folks through an expensive phone bill when I was in my teens.
