| Hi everyone. Still finding my way around but this seemed like a good place to start. Our kombi adventure started a few months ago when I had one of those birthdays with a '0' in it that makes you step back and look at life and the odd crazy idea starts to grow and gather speed. Once our 6 and 4 year old boys had got wind of it there was no going back. A day out at Busfest followed and a keen eye kept on the classifieds etc. There seemed to be very few vehicles coming onto the market so the project was parked until next spring. Then out of the blue an opportunity came up and whilst it didn't tick every box it was fairly local. I made the mistake of going to see her with the family in tow - the boys immediately named her and wanted to take her home there and then. Anyway a deal was done and SNOWY joined our family last week. She's an all white, Danbury conversion, first reg in 2006 so I guess one of the last air cooled. She has one or two things we need to do to her and longer term there may be a splash of colour added - although I'm not sure how her name will fit then, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Just got to wait for the weather to improve so the adventures can really begin!  | |

| Welcome aboard, plenty of info on here, a must 'meet' is our club get together the Kombi sleepover which is at the end of May next year, usually get about 50 vans all camping together. | |

| Welcome to the forum, I made similar "mistake " took my boys and wife to Danbury nothing like pester power of children  not looked back though and wife even mentioned would be nice idea to get a beetle in same colour as T2  | |
