2015 - Brazi Bay Beach day

Thankyou for link. Am hoping to come and meet people in Banbury in a couple of weekends.

Cancelled by original vote and re-voted for both September dates.

After much discussion, the Brazi Bay Beach Day is now back on and scheduled for Saturday 5th Sept (2nd choice date in the voting) but with a few tweaks and updates.

Firstly, the location will now be Mudeford Quay and Mudeford Spit from around midday til late. Mudeford Quay/Spit is dog friendly so those with 4 legged friends can also attend.

The plan will be to spend the afternoon over on the spit on the beach having fun - there are toilets and a little shop - then head back over to the quay a bit later for a BBQ on the grassy area by the car park. We could even squeeze in a game of Kombi Rounders!

Those with kayaks or similar can paddle across from the car park to the spit, anyone on foot can jump on the ferry which runs back and forth every 10mins or so until 10pm.

So it's a Medley of Mudeford Mayhem Brazilian style.

We'll be in Lille that weekend at Europe's largest Flea Market. I might buy Bozzer some fleas.

New members and anyone still waiting to collect their Brazi Bay are more than welcome too, promise we don't bite!

Wetsuits purchased from Decathlon at the weekend. We're good to go!

For anyone still undecided about Mudeford Quay tomorrow, here is a rough plan so you know where to find us if you decide to come along.

We plan to meet around midday in the main car park. We will try get spaces near the main entrance/exit near the grassy area to make us very easy to spot on arrival and for ease of access to the grassy area for later.

Once we've had a catch up and prepped the kayaks we will set of for the spit - probably around 1pm? - anyone on foot can catch the ferry, it runs every 10 mins or so. Bring a picnic.

From the ferry staging on the spit, turn left and head for the Beach House (restaurant) then right and past the Beach House, straight on to the beach on the other side (the sandy side).

We should be there or there abouts, look out for a large orange inflatable kayak and a smaller yellow (solid) one, as well as one or two blue ones.

A bit later on - not sure what time but will depend on how warm it is etc. - we will head back to the car park (the ferry runs until 10pm!) and have a kombi BBQ on the grassy area.

If in doubt, just shout the password "BRAZI BAY!!!" and I'm sure one of us will hear you!!

Hi all, we won't be coming...encountered heavy traffic on M27 area cos of the Shoreham plane crash when out yesterday, so have decided to stay home today. Hope you have a great day....Chris

We've arrived at Mudeford, plenty of spaces at the moment and the sun's out too!
