the Van would not turn over with the jump leads either. The AA got it started and told us that the battery was total flat and thats why the car would not start with the Jump leads either. but going to get it check out when the van is getting serviced now!! thanks Kiteman

You need a trickle type charger, Ian to keep it topped up when you're not using the van.

Yes I was discussing that with Craig. Just don't understand it being totally dead it was a new battery last year and we went out in it 7 weeks ago to Manchester and started first time then.

Cant wait to drive it thoughout the summer. One of my best decisions to get one!!!Smile

You haven't used it for 7 weeks?! Not surprised the battery was flat!

7 weeks? Something simple like leaving the radio on standby rather than off will cause that.

I've got an Optimate that keeps the battery permanently charged and conditioned, Ian. Might be worth getting something similar.

After 4 or 5 weeks of no activity we always charge the battery before any new adventure.
This seems to work for us.

Stan's connected to 50w solar panel. I alternate its charge between the leisure and main battery.

No calls from the tracker company this winter telling me the tracker is running on reserve battery!!
