It was on November 8th in 1920 that Rupert Bear did first appear. We doo not expect anyone to remember that day, that much is clear.
But perhaps a memory or two of Rupert and his Nutwood friends doo last. Scooby has many fond memories of Rupert Annuals from his own past.
A little bear and his chums having adventures all told in ryhme what fun. The stories maybe a little naughty, but you could not just read one.
If you have them, share your memories of this little bear. And perhaps like Scooby you can say you doo still care.

Scooby still owns one Rupert Annual - wish we'd kept them all.
What annuals did you collect?

In the early 1970s when I was 11 or 12 and with a keen interest in Origami I knew Rupert drawer Alfred Bestall (he was president of the British Origami Society). He came to our house for tea once and drew me a Rupert and signed it. I wish I still had it
