We’re well into our second year on Brazilian VW Bay.com and to date we’ve achieved a lot. Club status, a camp at this year’s Vanfest and now, with 130 registered members, we’re a force to be reckoned with on the VW landscape. We now receive direct discounts on top of those we gained by becoming part of the ABVWC and that trend is set to continue. The forum is now THE place on the web to network with fellow owners, enthusiasts and members of the trade who have an interest in the Brazilian Kombi. A number of you have mailed me, to let me know how useful you’re finding the site and that it’s making a big difference in owning your BraziBay – I really appreciate that, thank you. Since November 1st we’ve taken paid advertising on the site, which will cover our membership of the ABVWC for next year and help towards the running of the Club. On average, the site receives 100 hits a day. Visitors to Brazilian VW Bay.com are now well informed about their Kombis, and the choices they have about maintenance, parts and customisation. The spirit of our online community is one of the club’s greatest assets.
This month we've launched our first competition – generously sponsored by Just Kampers. It’s a bit of fun to take us up to the end of the year and all those great trips ahead in 2011 in our BraziBays. Talking of which – don’t forget to check the calendar – there are plenty of events listed already for 2011 and new ones are added all the time. We plan to attend a number of shows as a Club next year starting with the Volksworld Show at the end of March.
As of December 1st the Maintenance/Technical section can only be viewed by registered members. This is in a bid to encourage guests to register – the more members we have – the greater our presence.
