Doo you have any recollections of this show if you have been before - Scooby doo
For those who might be interested, here is a previously published Scooby view from 'back in the day'
Friends - below is the one where Scooby was part of the show!Volksworld 2012 - what we doo recall
Volksworld is probably one of the largest and most well-known shows on the VW Calendar and for many it is the start of the new season.
In 2012 we would be going to this event for the third year on the trot, but this time as proud BraziBay owners of Scooby on the Forum Stand at the show, but only on the Saturday. We would not only meet up again with some of the Forum Members, but we would also interact with the general public as we displayed our Kombis.
It was Saturday 24th March 2012 and at 5.50am - yes that is 5.50am - Scooby was on his way to the Volksworld 2012 Show - via TimV’s house close to the show ground. As can be seen from the pic below, whilst the road was clear there was a mist – very spooky thought Scooby!
Tallulah - another Kombi who lived close to Scooby - was to meet us along the way. We drove slow to allow them to catch up with us along the way and then we had our own 'short' mini convoy.
We already had blue skies and sun shine - it was going to be a good day. So here is the next pic early on Saturday morning, queuing to get into the display area with Max, Mish, Ginger, a cheeky T4, followed by Scooby.
Here we are in the next pic before the floodgates opened, positioned between the two Brazilian flags flying high, each Kombi adorned with colour coordinated helium balloons.
We are pleased to present to you the Saturday line up of: Tallulah, Scooby, Ginger, Mish and Max. All looking very shiny indeed.
The situation quickly changed though after the gates were opened - see the pic below. If you are lucky, you might just be able to make out the two Brazilian flags over the Kombis to the right in the centre of the crowd. It turned out to be a great spot for us to display the Forum Kombis.
Here are some closer pics of the line up
Scooby had some bits and pieces especially for the show, as illustrated in the following pics
It turned out to be a FAB day, with plenty of chat and interaction with the general public as well as visiting Forum members. The free Brazilian coffee flowed, all mopped up by the obligatory cakes and biscuits. With "time off for good behaviour" Scooby then went off to wander round the rest of the show.
The Porsche Type 64 was at the show and to Scooby this looked really cool and not a bad design for 1939 construction with a top speed of 110mph!
However, as we went around the show some thing strange was occurring . . .
Whether it was a bouncy castle . . . . . or a custom tent . . .
An old splitty or a new beetle . . .
A 'Blue Theme' appeared to be “very much in” this year and every where - obviously the latest cool colour to have! Even Danbury got in on the act with a blue interior on a new 'Scooby Blue' Kombi they had on display.
We knew Scooby was cool - he is after all from 'Coolsville'
(Coolsville - the headquarters and home town to Mystery Inc. in the Scooby Doo cartoon series - hehehehehe)
Towards the end of a FAB day we had a group photo session - we like this one of the many taken.
So as the show started to close we then had to all pack up and then queue to get out again!
Here is one final pic . . .
Had a wicked day - enjoyed it all.
Great Show – Great Company – Great Brazi Bays
Thanks for another FAB day out Scooby
