The LED option sounds like a good idea. You've come this far might as well keep going. If all else fails you can always go back to the Orange at a later date.

I'm glad you got that far with the job Tilly, I've had a qiuck look at changing mine over when I first got them. Encountered exactly the same problems, ie would have to destroy the old unit first just removing it. Having read your comments I shall go no further, and wait to see if you've found twist on clear relacement lenses and bulbs...... one man's 'misfortune' is anothers good luck!!
( Dazdud, do you still want some clear lens units....not used!)

Tilly has now sourced clear indicator lenses that fit so I'm closing this thread.
