| Just received confirmation of my delivery date, so guess now its all official. My campervan is on its way, well, almost. It's taken me long enough to get to this stage. I still have to wait until May but at least I have a date now. Oh, and a registration number. Bit miffed I have to insure it a month before delivery though (so they can register it). Waste of money. No pictures yet, obviously, but I can say it will be an entry in the green zone. I can almost feel like a full member of the club | |

Bet you can't wait What, you want spoilers? OK, just a little. It's a Danbury Rio with usual suspects with regards to extras. No roof rack, though one thing it has got is power steering. Oh, and the registration is after my two daughters AM(élie) & URS(ula), so they'll be thrilled when they see it. They've been wanting one for almost as long as me. Yep, the anticipation is starting to rise. Thankfully mid May delivery, so not too long now.

| Yep, pretty excited. I did ask about earlier collection, especially noting I've got to insure it from mid April but was met with a fairly emphatic no. Though to be honest, as I'm still faffing around with a divorce, I'm not really sure how I'm going to pay for it. Part of the reason it has taken me so long to get one but I got fed up waiting and wasn't going to miss another summer. | |

It'll all be worth the wait in the end. Just hope you've agreed your financial settlement already .... you don't want your ex affecting the purchase of your Kombi. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

And there's the rub. But as I said, I've been faffing around for so long I couldn't wait any longer. I've got to the stage where I'm thinking "I need to enjoy what I can while I can". Besides, my two little girls have also been badgering me

| Typical. Just when I thought I'd got everything sorted along comes a spanner and lodges itself nicely in my wheels, so to speak.
When talking colours of a "hypothetical" camper van purchase my two girls were quite emphatic that the colour I had so carefully tried to steer them into choosing was an absolute "no way, never, yuck, NO!". So, it seems I am still ruled by the female of the species because I've lamely agreed that jaffa is the way to go. Probably have to change the trim now as well.

Never really thought of yellow. Probably a reason for that (and why there's so few of them around). Still, in the interest of fairness, I suppose I can run it past the (new) management and see what their thoughts are.

| After the curve ball kite man threw me, I had a chance to run the new colour option past daughter #1, who happened to come downstairs on some bogus pretext (just as well it's the holidays). Anyway, seems it wasn't such an outlandish idea after all, as yellow was met with positive appreciation. Just have to see what daughter #2 has to say on the matter tomorrow morning before making any decision. Can't believe my life is ruled by 7 & 5 year old girls. What hope have I got? (Thats rhetorical by the way. I don't want anyone else pointing out what I already know ) | |

Can't afford to do that. You've no idea how long it took me to whittle it down to just orange. Well, yellow now. It's crazy when I think about it, trying to pick a colour they want but I really want them to be involved with its purchase (they are so excited about their bed in the pop top). They'll probably be anti yellow in four months time but hey, I've been trawling the 'net for pictures of yellow ones and now it's sort of growing on me.

| We are the second owners of Scooby - colour was not an issue when buying - condition, extras and service history were all important to us We very much like Scooby Blue but if we were going to buy new we would def choose Yellow As Tim states it is also a classic colour and they are indeed a rare beast on here So that is the Scooby logic on Yellow Rooby Roo We even use the blue and yellow flower - Blue on the outside but Yellow on the inside________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run | |

We even use the blue and yellow flower - Blue on the outside but Yellow on the inside Sound. Well daughter #2 has given her approval of yellow and Danbury have been suitably notified of the required change. So now all I have to do is peg it over there and pick a suitable shade. It is going to have to be nice and bright. The yellow zone is going to increase by one.
