| I've just bought tickets for the Friday - going to take the in-laws with us (they're tintenters!). I've not been before but no doubt there'll be lots of shiny things to buy. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| Nothing in particular Absinthe Unless . . . they have an 'Airstream' stand (American Caravan) then some pics of that would be good. Scooby Doo like Airstreams! Your overall impression of the show would be good too! | Just back from the NEC after our first visit to the CMS and, boy, was it busy. Matt from Danbury told us that there were 14k visitors yesterday and the organisers were expecting 25k today. I'm not sure I'd bother next year although we saw some interesting stuff apart from the huge numbers of tintents. We bought a few things and I resisted the temptation to spend £149 on a Lotus Grill BBQ. Here's a few pics - poor quality from my phone I'm afraid. Alison having a neck massage. Danbury's stand. Lots of interest in their teardrop trailer. I quite fancy one of these electric cars: Some Airstreams for Scooby: There are a few more pics here: CMS NEC 2012 Oh, and look who we saw when we were pissing post one of the stands: ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| I like those Renault Twizzys. Vicky Butler-Henderson did a week long trial in one last week on Fifth Gear. I reckon as a tow-along vehicle they'd be fab. Doesn't come with windows as standard though. Think they'll need to fit those standard for it to be popular with the UK market. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Hey Absinthe Thanks for the Airstream pics Really like them - this would be the ultimate for us . . . Bambi Like the other pics too - especially you in no.58 and all the Dub-box pics That electric car is only a single seater is it not - where will Boris sit? What was you overall impression of the show? Rooby Roo ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run | |

| Tbh Scooby the Show was just ok. It was very, very busy and hard to get to look at everything we were interested in seeing. By definition, I guess, there were loads of caravans and massive motor homes. If we'd been in the market to buy one I think I would have been overwhelmed by the choice. We bought some LED strips to fit in Absinthe (if I can work out how to do them - if only we lived near Tim ) but not much else apart from a new therapeutic pillow for Alison who's struggling with her neck at the moment. It was obvious which age group the show is aimed at by the number of "medical" treatment stands there. I almost felt like one of the young ones. (Almost!) The day got off to a weird start when I had an altercation in the car park. Fortunately, the chap's wife advised him in to stay in his car when he threatened to get out to confront me! He was probably almost 70 and about 5"2' so to be honest I wasn't too concerned. Bl**dy tintenters... PS Boris would sit on my knee of course. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| The Twizzy has tandem seats, so the passenger sits behind the driver. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |
