It has been a long time since we have been on the forum, and I think we missed you a bit! It is high time to come back and say Hello! to the old team and the new members we did not have a chance to meet yet.
Rudi is all well and still earning his keep by driving around happy customers. Last season was quite a success despite the rainy weather in Yorkshire for pretty much most of the spring and summer and all sorts of hiccups typical for a new company. He was being part of weddings, proms, birthday parties, with our youngest passenger being 4 months old and the eldest driver 71 (and now owner of a Kombi himself)! On his travels he went as far as Devon or Edinburgh – but Yorkshire Cost still being the most popular destination, it seems. But what’s best he always comes back to us and at some point somebody says “ I wish he was mine” or “ I don’t want to give him back”. It’s the best part of the job and real feel-good factor! I hope it will continue this way and he will be coming back unscathed (only one issue with customer snapping the gearstick so far ).
We have not been to as many kombi kapers last year as some of you but those we did go to – my, oh my – these were good parties: Kombi Sleepover, CamperJam and Northern Chapters (very informal Northern Kombi gathering with spontaneous forming of Kombi Ramblers Division – although not officially proclaimed yet). It was fun and I am really looking forward to more this year!
We did not travel ourselves in Rudi last year as much as previously but it was mostly due to my new job which started at the end of summer and buried me under workload for nearly 6 months (hence my disappearance from the forum, too) We hope to change that this year. Still, we had some lovely trips. We are really looking forward to the new season, however with 51 nights already booked for hire this year we started thinking about another campervan to help – Brazilian Kombi, of course! Any advice where else to look at? Apart from the usual suspects? Last week Rudi had his first rental outing of the year and tomorrow goes away for a week again. Photo of spring cleaning attached.
Here’s to Spring! And I hope to see you all some time!

Welcome back! 51 days booked already is excellent, far more than we have booked so far but it'd still early.
Hope to see you all soon.
I know! I am amazed as well - given that we have not done anything with the website/facebook/twitter for last few months. But to be honest it is mostly thanks to one customer who booked Rudi for full 3 weeks. That's why we need another camper - as there is not much slots left for us
Just waved good-bye to a couple taking Rudi to Cornwall!
