Hi, Started recently on the forum when looking for a T2, and we are now the proud owners of a 2008 registered Aircooled Bazilian Tin Top !

Needs a few bits and bobs sorting out, will keep me busy. Drives well, looking forward to our first weekend away, and meeting up with fellow owners, as soon as I get the new alternator in........

Forum has been tremendous help, many thanks to all !

Thanks for the replies !

2008 registered, but year of manufacture 2002 according to VIN....very low mileage though. Will post some pictures shortly.

Realised it was over charging on test drive, quick check revealed 18+ volts. Disconnected alternator to prevent cooking the ECU, did the deal and drove it home (Had a spare battery with me just in case). New alternator arrived yesterday, (thanks VWHeritage !) I've gone for a 70amp one as leisure battery fitted, also it has a regulator you can change without removing the alternator, 'cos as I'm sure you all know it isn't the easiest job......
