Personally, I think they're out of order putting two vans on one pitch. I know they've sold out but surely people have an expectation that they will have their own pitch if they've paid for one. To be asked to pay extra for electricity via the hire of a splitter doesn't seem fair either, particularly if you're only getting half a pitch.

I haven't been to the event before so maybe the pitches are massive and what they're doing is entirely reasonable.

If Club Camping is where it was last year (Premium pitches at the top of the pic posted by Abs) then they are really large pitches so two vans (or even two vans and an Ariba) won't be a problem.

Last year we had friends with us in their car, they slept in a tent and we had our canopy/wind break up and still had lots of space to spare.

The £5 charge is only to cover their additional costs, I imagine lots of people have their own splitters so it shouldn't be a problem.

Sounds fine then, if the pitches are massive as I suspected might be the case. Not so sure about the £5 charge though, presumably their additional costs could be paid out of the extra takings from having two vans on one pitch...

Does seem a bit strange but I can concur with Keith the pitches we had last year were large and sounds like we should be pitched in the same area which would be great...

We'll have our dog in tow so was probably planning on pitching the Kyham to give her some freedom especially should it rain so am hoping being double pitched that space won't be an issue.

Hi we are booked in just for the day ( sunday) what time does everything finish as we were wondering whether to find somewhere local to camp if it will be a late finish. The campsite itself is already booked out to Ditf weekend campers.

Hi Bumble , pretty sure the event on Sunday will finish when the entertainment finishes and the bar closes so would guess around 11pm... The Liam White Trio are entertaining us Sunday night so if you fancy a few drinks (and it would be rude not to) it might be worth seeing if there's any other local camping.. (Tallulah might know!)

Thanks Beakyboy..just found my day ticket and it says park gates close at 6pm for day visitors so will have to book up early next year to hear the entertainment and get camping tickets.

No tickets, it's all done with vehicle reg and surname on arrival.

Ok guys, I managed to grab an extra weekend camping ticket for Batman but unfortunately he is no longer able to make it. So I now have a spare weekend camping ticket for the show if anyone is interested.

Officially, the ticket is non transferable, but the organisers know I bought this one for someone else meaning I can change the associated vehicle reg.

Yours for £50 - normal price - I just need a pm with your vehicle reg and it's yours.

Let me know ASAP, if I haven't had a taker by Weds evening then I'll be returning it to the organisers.

I think I read somewhere that there's a fancy Dress theme of Movie Stars this year - is anyone bothering to dress up? - we weren't going to but don't want to be the only ones not in costume.

I suddenly had a thought yesterday about whether there was any theme! We won't be dressing up either as I didn't know this info.

We'll just rely on our natural Movie Star looks instead.
