Hi we are up for brewery tour

We are definitely up for the boat trip, and also for the brewery tour if that's a majority preference. Is there a possibility of doing the brewery tour late afternoon/early evening? I notice that there are 3 trains an hour from Stirling to Bridge of Allan, and it only takes a few minutes, so there is maybe scope for exploring Stirling and the castle and still doing the brewery tour. Even if we don't do the brewery tour, food and a few pints in Bridge of Allan (or Stirling for that matter) sounds like a good proposition. The Old Bridge Inn also seems to be highly recommended. I know that organising these events is like herding cats, so we'll go with whatever Allan arranges anyway.

Not overly bothered about the brewery but the boat might be fun. That said, I'm aiming to be prey easy about the whole w/e.

Okay, going with the majority......

I've phoned the brewery and they'd be happy to take drop in groups for a free quickie tour for 15-30 mins at any point between 12 and 6pm, sampling a few of the beers providing you're buying a pint. This allows us to avoid paying for a tour (typical Scots), get free beer (typical Scots) and no need for organisation (typical Scottish weekend!). Hopefully that suits all.

So far it's 11 tickets for the boat.

Dear all,

(and apologies for being absent for so long!). We are happy to join whatever the majority decides to do both days - the only thing i need to check is if we can take the kid to the brewery (that may be an issue) so will confirm tomorrow. I have just ordered today our famous Polish smoked sausages for the barbecue - i hope the weather will be kind to us! What time is everybody arriving? Really looking forward to seeing you guys! I'm sure Titus could sit outside the brewery with us for a drink.

Allan is bringing his BBQ - I'm looking forward to trying the sausages.

We will pick him up from school and will start driving there shortly after (at least that is the plan!). Sausages will be freshly made in the local place by a Polish butcher (from Scottish pigs) - they were a massive hit during my company camping weekend last year so i am hoping to repeat the success

Nightmare day! Woke up this morning to water pouring through the ceiling in the hall downstairs. The hot water tank had started leaking and releasing its contents...

Unfortunately, it coincided with my one working day of the month - yep, it's Board Meeting day, which Alison and I both attend.

I had to leave her at home, having had a quick presentation from her of what she wanted to report on Craftcover.com, whilst she rang British Gas who promised to have someone out within 2 hours.

Sure enough, the guy turned up, isolated the tank and said we'd need a new one, but as we're away they can't deliver a tank until Mon 29th and will fit it on Wed 3rd. Until then we won't have any heating nor any hot water.

Change of plan then. Instead of setting off on Friday to drive to Stirling, we're de-camping to our static in Sedbergh tomorrow afternoon, so we can have showers before setting off on Friday morning to head to Scotland.

Of course, that means having to pack a day early and, as Mrs B has a hair appointment tomorrow, we've just finished packing the trailer and we'll be doing clothes next.

We've got company for curry at 6pm so it's all a bit manic.

Rest assured though, we'll be there...

Mr B! You gave us a fright - I was reading this message with a growing horror thinking it was going to conclude with "Sorry, guys but..."

What a day you are having! But I am glad you have not changed the plans!

And I was just about to post that we've booked 13 adults and 1 child for the boat at 1.30pm!

Oh dear Mr B not good , hopefully you meant Weds 1st Jul and Not Friday 3rd as that's Camperjam and wouldn't want to be 2 banana's short! Hope things improve and you all have a great weekend!
