New member!

Hi there,

Just joined this forum as we are now the proud owners of a new Kombi, christened Babs (Beige Babs, as it is supposed to be beige!). I've attached a picture of the van on a recent trip over to Northern Ireland.

Have already read and learnt a lot from this forum, so thanks everyone for the posts. I'm sure I'll have lots more to ask in the future. Sad that I've only just found out (too late) about Vanfest (think that's what it's called), but definitely up for going next year.

Anyone know how I can get my hands on one of the Brazilian VW Bay stickers?

Hello James and welcome to the forum. The link to the shop is under the general heading, first post in the sticky section (top post).
Unfortunately your photo hasnt worked, this is nothing new, the photo app is a bit fiddly and takes some practice, there is a sticky on how to do it in the gallery section. Look forward to seeing your bus. What spec did you get? Congratulations on your purchase.

Welcome to the forum, re Vanfest, you are right too late for camping tickets but you can do a day visit. I have to be in London early Sunday morning so currently planning to pop in for the day, try and catch up with some of the folks on the forum. Should be other campsites in the area.

Excellent, I've helped to found the Bareface Brazibayers Sub-club! Still not had the hug from the Wax monster, but I've decided on getting it done professionally the first time as it sounds like a bugger of a job. I was thinking of going with "Before and After" if anyone has any experience? If not, I'll see how it goes and let you know!

Sorry mate. No malice was intended. But there is that resemblence dont you think?

No offence taken, it's all down to the individuals taste, personally I think they look good either way, and as they were born almost, give or take a few kilometers, from Eastern Europe (wolfsburg) it's a compliment anyway!
They are what they are, Brazillian's and proud of it!
