I thought this might be a useful thread for those of you looking to insure a new van or renewing your existing insurance.
I know that I found it hard work trying to get insurance for our van (08 watercooled), so thought it would be a good idea to share some of the company that would actually insure a Brazilian type 2.
I won't bother with the details, premiums, excess, etc as they wont be the same for everyone, but they did vary from reasonable to are you taking the piss!
I'm currently with Insurance choice but had quotes from Coversure Adrian Flux (phone for a quote from them, don't do it on line) Chaucer Lifesure

Cheers for that.
I tried the Camping and Caravanning Club - who would cover a Brazilian T2 - but they were undercut by Adrian Flux via the Just Kampers no. by about 50 quid. It's a policy that does not accrue no claims bonus years though. That made it cheaper.

I got a good deal from Saga but you have to be over 50 - nice to find an advantage to age :-) Malcolm.
