| Hi - introducing Merlot, who I've had for a month now. 2005 Danbury with new interior. She's already had 3 weekends away, and we're loving her...
Any tips for where to buy a spare wheel (and cover) and get fitted?
And also any recommended garages for when the day is needed...
I live near Kingston (upon-Thames)...
Really sorry to miss the sleepover weekend - hope to make it next year, if toddlers and young babies are also welcome!

| Hi . The Danbury parts dept can supply wheels with tyres fitted and spare wheel carriers too. Call them on 01454 310000 | |

I think I sold you the bike rack...we haven't had our tow bar fitted for our new rack yet but check out Brand Autos, he's fitting out tow bar and folks on this forum speak highly of him.

| Hi and welcome Sarah. Love the colour and name of your Kombi. Waitrose sell a lovely Brazilian Merlot - I'd make it your drink of choice!  As Surfwagen Stan says Brand Autos is your best bet for servicing and repairs. I would say about an hour from Kingston but you won't find anyone better within that distance from you. Hope to catch you at a club meet soon. | |

| Thank you everyone! What a friendly and helpful forum.
Yes Surf Stan, I did but your bike rack...! As yet unused, but looking forward to taking the 2 wheels with Merlot at some point.
I'll check out Brand Autos, and start googling for spare wheel and a fetching cover to match!

| Hi Sarah...welcome. we live in Epsom so almost neighbours. This community also has a Facebook page. The vw shows can be fun.....they do get booked up early. You will see that some of us are going yo Camperjam and Dubs in the Forest. Sometimes you can still go on day tickets. A fun thing to do is Brighton Breeze which starts at Epsom with an overnight camp then a cruise down to Brighton. Anyway enjoy Merlot and hope to meet you one day.

| re: the spare wheel cover you may be able to get a colour matched one if either Danbury or your paperwork identifies the colour for you or get colour matched paint made up (not in B&Q) from a specialist. I had my spare wheel cover resprayed after I had a new boot lid fitted so was able to get the paint matched using a bit of the old lid which I cut of and sent for analysis (sounds grand but not really).
Also welcome on board. I have found this to be a great site and super resource since finding it last year.
